Responsibilities

  • Organization of timetables and travel ;
  • Trainning and transmission of guidelines to drivers (instructions, documents, welcome and integration of drivers etc.);
  • Planning and dispatching pick-up and delivery
  • Coordination of relations between the client, the supplier and the driver;
  • Inclusion of regulatory elements (driving time, prohibited traffic times, etc.);
  • Help create a sense of ownership among drivers.

Job Requirements

  • College Diploma in Logistics
  • Organizational skills and adaptability to change
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of regulations in the transport of goods
  • The candidate must be bilingual and speak English and French;
  • Logical mind, deductive and analytical skills;
  • A lot of resistance to stress.

MRT is currently looking for a Dock Supervisor to join our team at the Thunder Bay terminal.

Responsabilities:

  • Supervise a team of drivers;
  • Perform work planning according to the needs of the customers;
  • Schedule appointments for the delivery of goods to the customer;
  • Validates the availability and condition of trucks and trailers
  • Ensure the conformity of the loading of the trailers;
  • Work with the software in place and prepare transportation documents;
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in place.

Requested skills

  • 1 to 3 years of similar or transportation experience;
  • Have a good knowledge of transportation industry;
  • Valid AZ class;
  • Sales ability to develop the territory;
  • Good geographical knowledge of the City of Thunder Bay;
  • Experience in supervision and forklift operation;
  • Leadership and excellent communication skills;
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

Forklift operator

To meet the needs of our growing business, MRT is currently recruiting for a forklift operator at Dorval  terminals.

Are you looking for a job in a company that knows how to make a difference? You like to work in a team and you have your forklift operator driver’s license up to date? We want to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out loading and unloading (forklift or electric pallet truck);
  • Secure and/or verify the securing of merchandise;
  • Load the merchandise into the trailers in the right order and use your logical mind to maximize the space in the trailers;
  • Comply with safety procedure and quality and productivity standards;
  • Effector any other task that can be assigned.

 

Job requirements

  • Hold a high school diploma
  • Forklift driver card
  • Knowledge of Law 430
  • Experience in a transport company (major asset)
  • Motivated by teamwork and enjoy challenges
  • Have good physical stamina and the ability to work in a variable temperature environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly to meet the daily requirements of LTL transportation.
  • Logical and analytical mind
