Responsibilities

  • Plan drivers’ routes
  • Assign drivers their trips
  • Optimize operations during the day and manage assignment changes
  • Take phone or email orders from customers
  • Ensure that drivers respect driving hours
  • Take into account the urgent nature of certain orders
  • Ensure compliance with transportation standards
  • Validate the availability and condition of trucks and trailers
  • Ensure proper preparation of transportation documents and routes
  • Communicate any useful information to drivers

 

Job Requirements

  • Safely drive trucks over Ontario and sometime Québec routes
  • Pick and deliver customer orders to a variety of businesses and institutions, some with loading docks, and some requiring handcart service

Dock supervisor (night shift)

Do you have warehouse experience and have a good knowledge of transportation? Have you experience in a management position and ever operate a forklift? Are you convinced that team work alows you to go further?

Responsibilities:

The team leader will be mandate to ensure that all the team finish their task, to prepare the reports and the workplace for the morning supervisor and maintain the harmony and health and safety of the team.

  • Manage night shift to Monday to Friday
  • Manage the dock (using shunters, moving freight as needed
  • Ensure the departure of trips (filling trucks)
  • Participate in other warehouse tasks to help co-workers accomplish their task
  • Preparing for the next day
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures and best practices
  • Responsible for a clean and safe work environment
  • Maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with team members, customers and driver’s

Responsabilities

  • Tie up the merchandise inside MRT’s trailers at the Fonderie Horne site
  • Must move the trailers from MRT’s yard to the Fonderie Horne site
  • Return of the trailer to MRT at the end of its shift

  • Carry out loading and unloading (forklift or electric pallet truck)

  • Load the merchandise into the trailers in the right order and use your logical mind to maximize the space in the trailers
  • Comply with safety procedure and quality and productivity standards
  • Effector any other task that can be assigned

 

Job requirements

  • Hold a high school diploma

  • Knowledge of Law 430
  • Experience in a transport company (major asset)
